We know that planning an island vacation is something to look forward to, and weather should not add unnecessary stress. That's why Sandy Toes Villa offers our 2026 Named Storm Policy.

If a NOAA-designated named storm impacts your scheduled stay, we will waive our standard 30-day cancellation policy, giving you greater flexibility and peace of mind.

For purposes of this policy, a Named Storm is any tropical or subtropical weather system that has been officially named by the National Hurricane Center (NHC), a division of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

A storm receives an official name once it reaches sustained winds of at least 39 mph, including:

• Tropical Storms – sustained winds of 39–73 mph
• Hurricanes (Category 1–5) – sustained winds of 74 mph or greater
• Named Subtropical Storms – officially designated and named by the National Hurricane Center

If a named storm is forecast to affect North Captiva Island during your reservation, or within 5 days of your arrival, you may cancel your reservation without being subject to our standard 30-day cancellation policy.

Guests may choose one of the following options:

• Reschedule their stay to available dates within 12 months of the original arrival date, or
• Receive a full refund of all payments made to Sandy Toes Villa.

Our goal is simple: we want you to book your island getaway with confidence. While no one can control the weather, we can make sure you're protected if Mother Nature has other plans.
